Okay, so now I’m sure you are all enthralled with Chicago House (as you should be!) and Sweet Miss Givings (mmmmmm). But let me continue the non-profit love affair by opening your eyes to another amazing organization. Anixter Center.
Anixter Center provides an array of services and support for individuals with disabilities to live, learn, work and play in the community. They have dozens of locations and serve more than 5,000 children and adults.
All this is clearly amazing, but one of my favorite things is their drive and high standards on impact. How awesome is this from their website:
“Anixter Center has always set the bar high. We strive to do great work. We support the whole person. We do it with passion.”
Would it be weird to say, “you go girl…I mean…non-profit!”? What’s more is their slogan is “The ability to soar”. I mean, how can you not just feel empowered by those words?
Anixter Center is also a Zealous Good pilot program participant. Stay tuned for their in-kind donation wish list. But for now, since you now know and love Anixter Center, go forth and have impact! You can follow them at @anixtercenter, like them on Facebook by clicking here.
