Even as a large business, you can make an impact through local charity donations. In fact, businesses can make a huge positive impact through local charity donations. Groupon Goods demonstrates this on a weekly basis by donating via Zealous Good. Each week we make the trip to Groupon to pick up donations from them that include:
- Furniture
- Jewelry
- iPhone covers
- Shoes
- Clothing
Many local charities have benefited from these donations. Here are a couple who have shared their stories:
Englewood Food Network, a charity whose mission is to “feed the hungry while providing programs designed to promote healthy living,” benefited from a men’s clothing donation from Groupon Goods, which they used in their Boys to Mens Program. The boys were elated to receive these items; some saying it was the first summer outfit they had ever owned.
In addition, a laptop trolley that we received from Groupon Goods was given to Arts of Life. Arts of Life is a charity committed to providing high quality innovative services for developmentally disabled adults through arts programs. The studio focuses on its artists’ needs and strives help the artists exceed expectations. The laptop trolley assisted one of their artists (pictured left) in bringing the computer to her when she otherwise would not be able to reach it on a regular desk or table.
