Meet our new marketing and social media interns!

As I’ve said, time and time again, meeting amazing people is one of the best parts of working at an organization focused on helping people and non-profits. When it came time to hire some interns for the summer, meeting the applicants was no different. Two awesome individuals really stood out and I’m excited to welcome Laura Fuhrmann and Emily Owen to the Zealous Good team.

Laura is super excited to join the Zealous Good team on the social media and marketing side of things. Here are a few fun facts so you can get to know her better: She hates roller coasters, she named her car Alf Alfa (because it has an antenna sticking straight out the back), she recently graduated from the University of Illinois, she’s 23, and she majored in media studies. While connecting the Zealous Good community through social media and marketing, Laura will be making the website better for all of you out there and helping to get businesses involved in their community. You can reach Laura at laura@zealousgood.com.

Native to Chicagoland, Emily studied Fine Arts and Business at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.  Back this summer from the land of the Cheese-heads, Emily hopes to put her excessive internet usage to work for Zealous Good.  Emily loves keeping busy and in her spare time enjoys painting, blogging, reading, listening to and playing music, sewing, and drinking coffee (lots of it).  Emily is really excited to be part of Zealous Good, working with Brittany and Laura to get the word out about this great organization.  You’ll see Emily writing on Zealous Good’s blog as well as keeping you up to speed with all of our projects via email, Twitter, and our Facebook page! You can reach Emily at emily@zealousgood.com.

Brittany Martin Graunke is the founder of Zealous Good, an in-kind donations marketplace in Chicago. You can find Brittany on Google+ or on Twitter at @ZealousBrittany. You can find Zealous Good on Facebook and Zealous Good on Twitter at @ZealousGood.
