Hey everybody! Meet Nick Sarillo, DePaul student and budding social entrepreneur. Nick, meet everybody.
Nick joins Zealous Good as our Project Management intern, and I’d love for all of us to get to know him. I came at him with some hard-hitting inquiries and, like a champ, he gave me the goods on what he’s about and what exactly he’s up to.
Hi, Nick! Where do you come from anyway?
I was born and raised in the Northwest suburb of Cary, near Crystal Lake and Barrington.
Do you like Chicago? Me too. What do you like about it?
I have and always will love Chicago, it is the best city in the world. My whole family is from here, and I love the city’s history. Boredom isn’t an issue living in a city like Chicago.
Hey how do you spend your time every day? Well, most days. I know you probably don’t do the same thing every day, that’s crazy!
I am a Junior at DePaul University studying Business Management, and the majority of my time everyday is spent on going to class and doing homework.
Homework! I remember college. I, too, once had to do homework.
Aside from finishing your homework, what do you enjoy? Hobbies, theories, cultural ephemera, etc?
Besides that, you can find me staying busy working out, running, playing football, or just hanging out at home with my roommates.
And he’s an athlete!
And he’s an athlete!
What led you to Zealous Good? What do you think about social entrepreneurship? Do you have any particular favorite social causes?
I found Zealous Good through DePaul’s career website, and I immediately liked what i read about it. Social enterprise is a growing industry, and Zealous Good is tapping into a market with huge potential.
I know right?! Very exciting.
I know right?! Very exciting.
What are your wildest dreams? Isn’t Zealous Good so great?
My wildest dreams would probably include traveling around the world and building a house in the location I liked the most. As far as my career goes, I would really love to start up my own business one day, possibly in the consulting industry, helping struggling businesses and leaders. Zealous Good will give me valuable experience working with a start up in very early stages, and help me to understand all of the time and energy that goes into starting a company. I look forward to taking on the challenges that arise while working for Zealous Good!
And we look forward to having you, Nick!
The whole gang will be at the 10th Annual Chicago Innovation Awards on November 8th – we would love to see your faces and get to know you a bit better. Hope to see you there!
