Another day, another amazing non-profit. St. Vincent de Paul Center in Chicago truly works to make the world a better place (are you picking up on a reoccurring theme here?!). They have programs focused on Child Development, Senior Services, and Homeless Outreach. They have been around since 1915 (WOW) and focus on serving the needs of the working poor.
A few days ago, I was walking into a De Paul University building (not tied to St Vincent de Paul Center) and saw a quote on the wall that made me pause, take out my iPhone and take a picture.
“Friendliness is the outward effect of charity in the heart.” – St. Vincent de Paul
St. Vincent de Paul Center is also a pilot program participant with Zealous Good. Look for their needs to be posted shortly, but if you or your company are interested in helping them build a garden for their child development program in Lincoln Park that serves 400+ children, email Brittany@zealousgood.com.
Go forth and be friendly with charity in your heart!
