Hey happy Friday you guys! How was your week? What are you doing this weekend? When’s the last time you called your parents and told them you love them? Maybe pencil that into your plans. Definitely not trying to tell you how to live your life!
It’s just that communication is important. As is gratitude, and sentiment. Never trust a man who tells you feelings are dead. Feel all the feelings and be brazen in talking about them.
That said, we love you. Don’t freak out! But we do.
In this analogy, we are John Keats, contemplating our next love poem to you, Fanny Brawne.
All my analogies are a little *too* accessible and great!
Your kind words, shout-outs, donations, and support this week have meant so much to us. They’ve been important. That a person in the midst of their own busy lives will take the time to give so freely – be it a bit of time, energy, a used coat, or a few dollars – brightens our day. Puts the vegan frosting on our sugar-free cupcake.
*Just kidding about that last part! We believe in butter and sugar! (Zealous Good: Believing in butter and sugar since 2011.)*
Here we are again, thinking about butter.
It’s Friday and the week has been long, you’ll forgive me if I’m a bit off the rails. I just want to reiterate, on behalf of Brittany, Nick, and all of our partner nonprofits, that we are grateful for your support and look forward to heading into a weekend, a season, and a brand new year with you.
For those of you who have somehow not heard me hollering from every corner of the internet, we have a beautiful human being donating $1 toward the Holiday Challenge for every new fan on our Facebook page through December 20. We broke 300 in one day, and hope to get to 500 before the deadline. Make sure to Like the Zealous Good page and spread the word! We are now over halfway (!!!) to our $5,000 goal which, again, will go directly toward purchasing our 30+ partners’ most needed items this winter.
As for this weekend? I urge you to get out to Humboldt Park for Firebelly’s Holiday Pop Up Shop.
The goods and work featured are nothing short of the raddest, and proceeds help benefit local nonprofit Reason to Give. We hope to see you there!
If you do see us, please say hello, and be prepared to get hugged. Sorry about my feelings.*
*Not sorry for a second.
