Welcome Summer 2012 Interns!

The Zealous Good interns have arrived! For the next few months they’ll be helping to keep our team running in the areas of public relations, tech, suburban expansion, marketing and nonprofit outreach. They’re also pretty cool, well-rounded people (i.e. not IBM’s Watson – that was too expensive… maybe summer 2013?). Below you can find out more about our summer crew!

From left to right: Megan Breehl, Jesse Mavi, Britt Wisniewski, Christina Coy, Colleen Froehlich, Victror Pena.

What drew you to Zealous Good? I’ve worked with a startup before and wanted to get more experience with doing so. I also really liked the idea of being able to work with a company that is doing something to better the community.

3. Name: Brittany (but I prefer Britt) Wisniewski

Place you call home: Park Ridge, IL

College: Knox College

You can find me: If it’s summertime in Chicago, there’s a good chance I’m at the beach. Specifically the sand courts at North Ave!

What drew you to Zealous Good?: I heard Brittany pitch at a Technori event and within those 5 short minutes I was sold. The concept of Zealous Good struck a chord with my love for nonprofits, and her passion was completely contagious. I knew instantly this was something I wanted to be a part of.

What’s one place in Chicago you’d like to check out but haven’t been to yet?: I want to check out more neighborhoods beyond the loop. There are so many great areas with cute restaurants and shops just waiting to be explored!

5. Name: Victor Peña

Place you call home: Chicago — Old Town

What drew you to Zealous Good? I first saw Zealous Good at Technori Pitch in March. It was a good presentation. That sold me the idea. I wondered why I had not thought of it. My girlfriend always donates. She had problems in the past finding the right recipients. Zealous Good helps items find a good home and extends their life-cycle. I was drawn to the simplicity of the service. Also, the value ZG provides communities.
