The holidays make December a short and busy month. But it’s also an extremely important time to give back and learn something new before the year ends. And speaking of year-ends, the Mayan calendar predicts the world will enter into a new era on December 22. Just in case “new era” means “world end,” why not attend as many good events as you can before the impending doom? Happy holidays!
December 1 + 2: The 7th Annual Renegade Craft Fair Holiday market features hundreds of booths from today’s greatest indie makers. Zealous Good charity member, The Rebuilding Exchange, will be on the main auditorium stage hanging out in their interactive seating area.
December 14: Girls in the Game “Stand Up For Girls” Conference at the Michigan Avenue Marriott. A panel of leaders from across the city will discuss topics including the health status of youth and how to best address the needs of girls.
Throughout December: Wild Apricot software is offering free nonprofit webinars. Topics include grantseeking basics, volunteer engagement, how to approach a foundation, and mobile fundraising.
And remember, if you can’t make it to any of the events you can still support these and many other Zealous Good organizations by making a charity donation. Have a healthy, happy, and safe holiday season.
