Out with the old and in with the new! As summer comes to a close and the new school year begins, many students are upgrading their clothing and getting rid of last year’s. Yet, there are many kids in your community that don’t have the privilege of buying the proper clothes to go back to school. That’s where you come in!!
Instead of getting rid of your old, outgrown clothing, or letting it sit in your closet, donate it to a student in need! Having the opportunity to have the same kinds of clothes as the other kids will make them feel great, and most importantly, fit in. Giving them your gently used clothing is a great way to start off their school year!
If you have a school uniform you would like to donate instead of general clothing, make sure to check out our blog on Where to Donate School Uniforms.
By donating your used clothing, you can help students feel great about going back to school! Before you donate, however, please consider the following tips:
1. Make sure the clothing you donate is new or gently used.
2. Check all the pockets to make sure there are no forgotten valuables.
3. Wash the clothing if possible to make it easier on the recipient.
Now you’re ready to make a student feel good about going to school!
