Zealous Good is a Chicago Innovation People’s Choice Award Finalist!

Zealous Good is honored to be selected as a top 75 finalist in the Chicago Innovation People’s Choice Award category! This is the one category where the public gets to decide their favorite new product or service and select a People’s Choice Award winner. Casting your vote is easy; sign in with Facebook or Linkedin and then select up to 5 companies by clicking the “vote” button. With so many great innovative products and services on the list, we encourage you to look around, get informed, and then vote on your top four, saving your last spot, of course, for that awesome company at the end of the alphabet 🙂 Voting ends on October 4, next Thursday.

Much of the Zealous Good community has already voted and we thank you tremendously! But we know there is still a wide population of people who 1. have never heard about Zealous Good 2. have heard and don’t know we are nominated 3. Know we’re nominated and need that extra reminder of the good we do.

Here is your reminder: Zealous Good is a web-based platform that connects people who have excess items to local non-profits in need. We work with over 150 Chicagoland charities and have matched almost $260,000 in donated goods. And we do more than just place items, we build connections. We introduce donors to charities and facilitate relationships that last after an item has been received. We have matched everything from a deep fryer to a hematology machine. We are not your typical donation center. We are simple, powerful, good.

So what are we trying to win? If we get enough votes, we’ll win the opportunity to meet with Governor Pat Quinn and present Zealous Good to Illinois state leaders. We’ll get to discuss our plan for social good and ways to advance innovation in Illinois with our biggest audience yet! We’ll also get to attend a business and innovation training provided by the Disney Institute and we’ll be featured in the Chicago Sun-Times. The more people that know about Zealous Good, the more good we can do.

Also, tickets are going fast for the 11th annual Chicago Innovation Awards. Governor Quinn, as well as Andrew Mason, Founder of Groupon, will speak at this years’ event. And we’re told there will be a couple other surprises in store too.  Click here to get your tickets to the October 22nd awards ceremony and after party.
