Description: Join other professionals at District Bar (170 West Ontario) for a fundraiser – live auction & entertainment! Ticket price includes 2 drinks, heavy appetizers, and a donation that will supply water for 1 person in Kaumba. All proceeds benefit The Kaumba Project, helping to bring clean drinking water to Kaumba, Kenya.

Description: Come out and help us as we clean toys and cots for the Chinese American Service League. The Agency has programs available to help Chinese Americans and newly arrived immigrants in child education and development, employment services, counseling and social service, health, and elderly services. Gloves and cleaning materials will be provided but please dress in clothing that you don’t mind getting a little messy. Please arrive by 9:15 AM for a short introductory video. Preparations will be from 9:45 – 10 and cleaning will be from 10-12. Then there willbe short recap and thank you. The center is located at 2141 South Tan Court. Metropolitan Brewery Tour

Description: Join us for a tour of Metropolitan Brewing! The guided tour of the brewery will last about 45 minutes and will include a tasting. After the tour we will head over to Hop Leaf, a neighborhood bar, for some socializing. The cost of the tour is $10 if you prepay or $12 (cash only) at the door. Description: Saturday, July 23 at 1pm there will be a spectacular free concert performed by the talented students of the Midwest Young Artists Summer evening Jazz, Orchestra and Honors Wind Symphony. MYA is a world-class youth music school specializing in large ensembles and chamber music groups, of which there are over 60 that perform each year.
