What’s Good in June

June is upon us and with it comes outdoor festivals, river boat tours, and al fresco dining. June is also a great month for charitable events! Check out our list of great Chicago events that give back.

June 5: Spend your lunch hour at Child Link‘s 9th annual Women’s Initiative Luncheon. Spend time networking with other professional women a half hour before the lunch and discussion.

June 7: Join Common Roots Initiative in honoring two 2013 scholarship winners, a graduating student and innovative teacher from Proviso East High School. All proceeds for the night will go towards funding next year’s scholarships. Attendees will enjoy dinner and drinks, as well as a silent auction.

June 13: Child’s Play Touring Theatre hosts their annual gala. With a tag line like, “This party could change the world,” your night should be anything but dull. Then night’s special guest is Anna Davlantes from Good Day Chicago/FOX 32 News.

June 14:  Jane Addams Resource Corporation (JARC) hosts their 5th annual Night of Opportunities. Celebrate the impact of JARC’s work with a fun evening of food, drink, music, silent auctions, and breathtaking views of the city! Revenue from this event allows JARC to continue to provide quality services in job training and workforce development in the community.

June 23: Jewish Child and Family Services (JCFS) invites you to A Striking Event. Join the charity for  a night of bowling, bocce, and more! A Striking Event celebrates those who have provided help and those who have received help through JCFS.

And remember, if you can’t make it to any of the events, you can still support these and many other Zealous Good organizations by making a charity donation. Have a healthy, happy, and sunny June!
