What’s Good in March

For Chicagoans, March marks a turning point in mood. The official first day of spring falls on March 20. Even if the warm weather takes it sweet time getting here, smiles begin to emerge and hopes get lifted. A change is coming. Another great way to make it through the last of the really cold days, is to take part in one of these great charitable events.

March 1 + 2: The 10th Annual Creative Chicago Expo is a two day event filled with keynote speakers, workshops and vendors including Zealous Good charity, Street-Level Youth Media.

March 6: HandsOn Tech Chicago hosts “Nonprofit Technology Training: Video Storytelling 101.” This event is FREE.

March 7: Young Chicago Authors and youth poetry festival, Louder Than a Bomb, host a conversation with premier hip hop novelist, Adam Mansbach. The event is FREE.

March 10: The Love Your Body Wellness Fair runs from 1-4 PM and features our friends Chicago House and Social Service Agency. The event includes nutrition workshops, yoga, HIV and STI testing, group acupuncture and much more.

March 18: Join The Golden Apple Foundation, a nonprofit that develops and supports teacher excellence in IL, as they host, “Beyond These Times: Reimagining School. Conversations with the Future in Mind.”

And remember, if you can’t make it to any of the events you can still support these and many other Zealous Good organizations by making a charity donation. Have a healthy, happy, warm March!
