What’s Good in November

What's Good in NovemberIn the spirit of Thanksgiving, take some time to help others and be somebody Chicago non-profits can be thankful for this season.

November 2: Help Habitat for Humanity celebrate the completion of the Lowes Women Build Home!

November 3: Centro Romero’s holiday book drive kicks off in Skokie, Ill. with crafts, sing-along’s and snacks.

November 8: Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center is hosting Breaking the Silence. This symposium is meant to address child sexual abuse in African-American communities.

November 14: In Her Shoes Foundation is having a Runway Showcase featuring Ramsey Jay Prince Designs & Studios along with Archer Townsend to raise funds for their “Girl Rising” Summer Camp Teen Leadership Academy.

November 15: Take part in the PAWS Fur Ball, a pet-friendly black tie gala. Enjoy raffles, live and silent auctions, special guest appearances and plenty of furry adoptable animals.

November 21: Enjoy the 11th Annual Beaujolais Wine Fest with Child Link. Visit several restaurants in downtown La Grange and taste different wines and appetizers.

November 22: Help Lillstreet Art Center begin their holiday events with the Let There Be Light exhibition and Holiday Art Fair.

By the way, if you can’t make it to any of these events, you can still support these charities – and many others – by donating items on Zealous Good! We hope you enjoy this fantastic September!
