School is back in session and the weather is about to become a little cooler, so how do we keep away the post-summer blues? With a month packed full of charity events sure to keep a smile on everyone’s face! Mark your calendar for the many events coming up in September.
September 5: Join A Safe Haven Foundation for the inaugural GOLF! To End Homelessness. All event proceeds will be used to support their programs and services.
September 6: The Woman’s Board of Children’s Home + Aid is hosting its 93rd Annual Woman’s Board September Gala. Proceeds from this year’s event will support the early childhood education and family support programs at the Mitzi Freidheim Englewood Child + Family Center and the Marletta Darnall Schaumburg Child + Family Center.
September 12: Help SitStayRead raise money for their literacy program benefiting fourth graders in underdeserved Chicago Public Schools.
September 14: Invite your family and friends to a cookout with CatNap from the Heart! This adoption extravaganza is a great chance to find a new family member and enjoy good food.
September 27-29: Buy your tickets for the Chicago International Social Change Film Festival. This event is a platform for untold stories to be told through film and inspire people to create social change.
September 28: Take part in Service with a Purpose. This is a one day serve-a-thon that connects volunteers with much needed service projects in the communities where Chicago Youth Program’s youth live, go to school, and play.
September 28: Chicago Urban Art Retreat Center is hosting a fashion show featuring looks created by Youth Groups. Join them for this event to support these fashion designers and their programs.
By the way, if you can’t make it to any of these events, you can still support these charities – and many others – by donating items on Zealous Good! We hope you enjoy this fantastic September!
